The Instruction Interest Group (IIG) hosted an information table, and sponsored a session at the ALAO Annual Conference. The well-attended session, Teaching Tomorrow’s Students Today: Keeping Library Instruction Relevant was presented by Sara Klink (Stark State College) and Melissa Bauer (Walsh University) who shared active learning theories, instruction tips and tricks developed to engage the interest of today’s college students. The evaluation comments were very positive, with many attendees expressing appreciation for the 2.0 tools shared by the presenters.
Arrangements are underway for the IIG’s spring workshop, to be held at Franklin University on April 21, 2011.
