April Board Meeting Report
Strategic Plan Update
Thanks to the ALAO members who provided feedback as part of the strategic planning process. This feedback has been integrated with other data gathered, and the 2019-2024 plan is currently being drafted and will be reviewed by the board at their retreat in July.
The board adopted a set of guidelines and a review process for activities that ALAO may choose to sponsor. The process will begin later this summer, and the guidelines will be announced at that time.
The board voted to approve the appointed role of Advocacy Chair, which is an expansion of the duties that were part of the former Government Relations Liaison position. Support for ALAO Meetings and Webinars
In response to the movement of some ALAO meetings and webinars to the web, the board voted to pilot the online meeting software Zoom. After a year, the board will review the use of Zoom and make a more permanent decision on support for online meetings and webinars.
