The ALAO Conference Planning Committee has been working hard to develop a robust annual conference for 2025.  We are thrilled to announce that Ione Damasco from the University of Dayton will be the Keynote speaker for this year’s conference.  Their experience leading initiatives supporting student success has been invaluable within Ohio and our profession.  Utilizing the concept of Critical Hope, Ione will explore the power of this concept as a framework for healthy dissent, as a tool for change, and as a way of building and sustaining community.

Here are some updates about our progress:

• Notifications for conference proposals are expected to be sent out before end of June.
• The Social Event will take place on November 6, 2025, at the Gateway Brewing from 7-9pm located in the Bridge Park area of Dublin, Ohio. The area offers plenty of great restaurants and is perfect for grabbing dinner with friends and colleagues before joining us at the social event.
• The CPC will be conducting a site walkthrough of the OCLC to consider options for maximizing the space.   
• The conference website continues to be updated with additional information. Keep an eye on additional information to come!
